The search for a ‘business leader in the cultural sector’ covers many aspects and often proves to be challenging. Society is constantly evolving, and expectations regarding business leadership continue to rise. This calls for a broader perspective on the ecosystem of the cultural and creative sector. What is needed to build a healthy and future-proof cultural organization? And how can sustainable cultural leadership be ensured?
During this conference, the focus will be on the various roles that cultural managers must take on today and in the future. What profiles, knowledge, and skills are essential in this context? What conditions are necessary to successfully fulfill these roles? How can policymakers help strengthen the so-called shortage of business leaders in the cultural sector? Striking a balance between the expectations of the sector, the government, and society is crucial.
A valuable contribution to this debate will be made by Alumni of the Master in Cultural Management and LinC Lage Landen. Additionally, a broad audience of professionals, academics, and policymakers is invited.
